One of my favourite collections from Stockholm Fashion Week this week is with no doubt by Altewai.Saome. Loving the combination of clean minimalism and futuristic sharp detailing. The Swedish design duo Altewai and Saome are definitely someone worth keeping an eye on, see the whole collection here!
After 2 fantastic relaxing weeks on beautiful Santorini I’ve hopefully charged my batteries to last through the coming darker months.
Today I’m heading back to London to prepare for a very busy fashion month ahead, kicking off in NY next week, and I cant wait! Feeling beyond ready to leave my summer wardrobe and modus behind and dive into a new season, a fresh start, like every fall.
Time to wake up from my coma, bye bye clear blue waters, sandals, black beaches and tranquilo, wishing you all a great day and see you back in London!
Wide dress made by my mum, sandals from Zara, bag by Stella McCartney and Ray Ban’s.
I’m still chilling on a Greek island but it’s impossible not keeping an eye on news updates and doing preparations for coming fashion weeks from my pool side. News of a new and very promising partnership is that Norwegian designer Andreas Melbostad is reported as Diesel Black Gold’s creative director after Sophia Kokosalaki’s departure was announced a few weeks ago. Melbostad was creative director at Phi for 6 years until 2009 were he was applauded for his textured leather and 80’s silhouettes, and has since then been running his own consulting firm working with major clients like Roberto Cavalli among others.
As you may know by now I love travelling, especially holidays to beautiful hot places. This late noon I landed on Santorini where I will spend the rest of my summer holiday, this greek island is so far very promising and my hotel excellent. I’ll post about it another day, as now it’s dinner time and I cant wait to enjoy it on the beach. Wishing you all a lovely Thursday eve!
New pearl beaded leather sandals from Zara.
I’m still beating myself up for missing out on these wide legged leather pants from Topshop Unique’s fall collection, that practically sold out on the minute on the screen in front of me back in July. Hello Topshop, more of these trousers to the people please!
I’m giving away this fall’s hottest nail colour that I’ve mentioned before, it’s Chanel’s limited edition Frenzy that will hit most counters on the 24th. In order to have a chance to be the lucky one, all you need to do is comment on this post, no motivation is needed, just your name will be fine, and I’ll draw one random “winner” on Friday 17th.
The lucky one was drawn on Friday the 17th and goes by the name of Marielle Furnes, congrats!
I love discovering “new” shopping secrets and great addresses for restaurants, which never seems to have an end in London. Just when I thought I had a pretty good idea of the best boutiques I came across Larizia, in St. Johns Wood a couple of weeks ago. A hidden gem of a boutique where you’ll find a great selection of clothes, shoes and accessories by Celine, Phillip Lim, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga amongst others. This cute little boutique is definitely worth stopping by (also during sales!), but if you’re not around you’ll find some of the pieces at Farfetch, as it’s part of that boutique-network as well.
Black, dark blue and purple, velvet, brocade, golden details and other bling-blings are super hot this coming fall. I’m not quite there mentally yet as summer is still fully on, but I wouldn’t mind adding these black beauties to my wardrobe as a starter….. wishful thinking(!)…..
Hi everyone, my first week of holiday is over and I’m back in a summery London which isn’t bad at all. After a week in mostly flat sandals I’ve now moved into my new beauties by Dolce & Gabbana. Yes, I know most of you advised me to get the closed toes ankle boot, but I’d already fallen for these that I’ve seen several times on Emmanuelle Alt’s fashionable feet. Now, next stop a strongly needed visit to my hair dresser, happy Friday!
Here’s a tiny postcard from Cyprus where I’ve pretty much haven’t done a thing since I got here except sleeping and enjoying good reads by the beautiful sea. The internet haven’t been working the way it was supposed to so I’ve been cut off for a while but I guess that sometimes can be a good thing. When it comes to outfits there’s not much to speak of, bikini’s, shorts, tanks and sandals sums it up, I travelled here with only 15 kg, a new record for me in travelling light!
Bikini from Cos, tank by Isabel Marant, shorts American Apparell, sandals by Givenchy and Ray Ban’s.
I cant help but loving Balmain’s beautiful atmospheric campaign which includes my absolute dream pieces this coming fall seen on beauty Nadja Bender. When I came across Zara‘s latest campaign fronted by ever-so-cool Freja I couldn’t help having a feeling of deja-vu, as some of the images and atmosphere has some striking resemble. Perhaps explained that they are both lensed by David Sims, who by the way is the man behind many cool campaigns this season. On the other hand I’m not surprised to see Balmain inspired pieces in Zara but perhaps that they’ve both been captured in similar themes by the same photographer, well just a thought…..
Another week has flown away and tomorrow I’m heading for my first vacation in ages, 1 week in Cyprus with family, can’t wait to feel burning sand between my toes, feeling the sea breeze and stroll around in hardly-there-fabrics.
Well, as London is back to it’s usual London-weather we haven’t been overwhelmed by heat lately, but shorts and long sleeves have been working sort of, so I’ve added a few new pieces to my wardrobe, like this super soft angora jumper by Acne and lace shorts from Topshop. I wore them earlier this week with shoes by Camilla Skovgaard, bag by Celine, watch Tagheuer and sunnies by Ralph Lauren.
Wishing you all a fab Thursday eve!
