New season = at least 1 new pair of sunnies on my behalf, as I wear them daily, all year long, I’m definitely in need for updates. Wayfarer’s and cat-eye’s are favorite shapes of mine but instead of going for something close to what I already got, I’m up for some color or lighter shades this season. Any of these goodies are warmly welcomed my way!

Hi ya’ll, hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Though I know some of you might have been surprised my snowfall this weekend, either to your amusement or not, the situation in London is quite the opposite. Hence I didn’t need to bring along neither scarf or gloves when I left my house on Saturday.

Pleated skirts have been on my mind ever since I saw Celine’s Spring collection, so I dug out this old one from Zara and paired it with my new wool jacket by Acne, so happy to throw my dark coats aside for a moment. Jumper Nowhere, shoes Isabel Marant, bag Celine and Ray Ban’s.

Acne Pre-Fall 2012

Images style.com

Yeah Acne, overall I think this pre-fall collection is awesome and includes everything from tailored, pin stripes, wide belts, boxy jackets, tweed an shiny fabrics, in a sort of mix and references to many of my other favorite fashion houses (without naming any!). As I’m not crazy about those cropped wide-legged-trousers I didn’t include those looks here but you’ll find the whole collection on style.com.

I’m back in my jeans days again and here’s a little snapshot of what I wore yesterday, jeans and shoes by Isabel Marant, jumper Alexander Wang, belt Acne, coat Topshop and bag Celine.
Oki, gotta run, have less than 15 minutes to get ready to a dinner party, wishing you all a lovely eve!

Chanel – the making

You’ve probably seen the beautiful Chanel spring campaign by now, where Joan Smalls and Saskia de Brauw perform gymnastics hanging above the sea, seen through the lens of Lagerfeld himself. Here’s a behind-the-scene-video from the shot that took place in Cap d’Antibes, and if you’re not already longing for summer by the sea, this might get you started….
Happy Friday noon!

Black biker

Obligatory for any wardrobe is a black biker and though I’ve already got a few myself I still haven’t come across the perfect one. The right one for me would be a looser and longer model with some thickness and weight to it, that still can be worn all year long. Sadly, finding the one is almost as hard as coming across the perfect fitted jeans.

Glow in the dark

Loving these fluoro glow-in-the-dark rubber watches from Nixon that are spot on to add a little “sportiness” to any city-chic outfit and yours for £55. I’m thinking of getting the lime green myself, would look great on freshly tanned skin, but I’m not holding my breath for the latter.

Road closed

Ok, I’ve had it with black opaque tights, and while we’re at it, I’ve had it with wintery coats too. Sorry for sounding negative, but black tights don’t really lift many outfits do they, and most skirts and dresses are far better off with bare legs. Unless you’re into printed or pastel colored tights, which I’m not, I guess there are not many options left in the Northern hemisphere right now. So, lets really hope for an even earlier spring than last year, longing….

Images taken on a cold day this week, hence the stiffness, I wore wool dress by Phillip Lim, turtle neck H&M, coat Oasis, boots Giambattista Valli and bag Celine.

New in is this metallic silver leather clutch by Alexander Wang that I came across on sales, silver works so well with sorbet colors, in fact it goes well with any color and so much more fun than black. If you’re interested to get it on 70% off yourself you’ll find it here.

Pretty basic

I’ve practically lived in my new jeans the last couple of days, the cold is back and jeans have been the only tempting option after I checked the morning temperatures by sticking my head out of the window, yes, I haven’t owned a thermometer ever, alongside with a bathroom weight, and managed perfectly without.

Anyway, here’s what I wore the other day, pretty basic, but jeans and courts will always be a favorite combo of mine. I wore angora knit by Carven (on sale now!), coat Isabel Marant, jeans J Brand, shoes Camilla Skovgaard, bag by Acne and sunnies Phillip Lim.

I’m gonna wear a small shoulder bag this spring and though my heart is beating a little extra for candidates by Givenchy and Alexander Wang, I really like these Stella bags by Acne, a perfect little bag to throw on the shoulder on days you’re not carrying your whole life around, extra plus for the metal details and more wallet friendly price tag!

The Face

The Face July 1990

This iconic fashion beauty, Kate Moss, turned 38 yesterday, she’s been around as long as my memory goes and still going strong. Here’s one of Moss first break though jobs, as a 16 year old fronting The Face July issue in 1990, photographed by Corinne Day, in a shoot titled “The 3rd Summer of Love”. Hip Hip Hurra Kate!

Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2012

Images style.com

I’ve got a really soft spot for Nicolas Ghesquière’s creations for Balenciaga who usually delivers some of my favorite collections every season. But this time I’m not totally taken, his pre-fall collection has a little too many 80’s references for my taste and those hideous zebra opaque tights just doesn’t do it for me, so I guess it’s perhaps down to the styling. However there are plenty of pieces here I love like many of the leather pieces and lovely jumpers and I’m really curious on their new range of earrings, and lets not forget about the shoes. See the whole collection here and make up your own mind.

So the cold finally arrived after all, so much for spring dreams and lighter fabrics for now. Time to dress in layers of wool again, which I did on Saturday, and though it was pretty chilly outside layers of wool worked miracles.
I wore a wool skirt by Acne (you’ll find it here in a lighter fabric), knit Cos, coat Topshop Boutique, boots Isabel Marant, bag Celine and Ray Ban’s.
