Beautiful things in store right now, a quilted leather bomber from Topshop Boutique, perfect for cold days worn with a warm knit, and leather plexi heels from Zara. Those beautiful Prada earrings just got to be mine but I’m leaning towards the pale green color with pink crystals instead, in a way I think the red ones would be better on a blond.
Even though the Givenchy tooth necklace might be the thing that draws your attention in this gorgeous pic of Daphne, it’s the wide belt by Celine that I’m all excited about, and could perhaps be the ultimate accessory to me this spring. No Celine belts in stores yet as far as I know so I’ll be keeping my eyes open for alternatives with the same oversized rectangular buckle, to be worn low on the hips like this with a skirt or pants, or in the waist on a coat or jacket. Perhaps you’ve got any tip?
Wow, this weekend passed so quickly and I’m left with the feeling of having done nothing, ok, a few good dinners out and clubbing on Saturday eve, but that’s about it, pretty lazy in other words.
The cold is back in London but here’s what I wore the other day when it was still mild outside. I wore a knitted jumper by YSL that I’ve worn a lot lately, and with a wool turtle underneath it can easily be worn as outerwear, new leather skirt H&M, shoes Celine and bag by Acne.
I can’t wait to wear softer colors but pairing them with black opaques (for now) can be quite a challenge. I think this look would work though and I wouldn’t mind sporting it on fashion events coming up in February, with a warm knitted jumper like this I’d leave my jacket back home.
Hope you all had a fabulous week so far, if not, cheer up, tomorrow it’s Friday again!
This day was just so bright and mild, and I know I’ve been saying it a lot lately, but I really got the spring feeling today, ok, I know I’m probably being to optimistic, but hey, it doesn’t hurt anyone right?
Anyway, this is what I wore today running between meetings and I was so happy to have a lunchbreak with 2 of my best friends, Sergio and Malcolm, love you guys! I wore shirt and belt by Acne, jeans J Brand, coat Isabel Marant, shoes Nowhere, bag Celine and watch Tagheuer.
I stopped looking in Balmain’s direction a long time ago, trashy denims and t-shirts attached to out-of -this-world-price-tags didn’t feel appealing to me in any way. But something has definitely changed with the young new designer, Olivier Rousteing in the lead, and his pre-fall 2012 collection is really beautiful and cool with it’s new oversized silhouettes (and no holes in sight!).
Not that I really need any excuse to post an image of this always superchic woman, but Phoebe Philo, creative designer at Céline is expecting a baby number 3 in April. Due to this happy event the fashion house has cancelled their autumn/winter 2012 catwalk show in March in Paris. But no worries, there will be a fall collection presented in a smaller informal venue instead, which most likely will leave us with plenty of inspiration and Céline images to drawl over, yeah!
Here’s a little preview of the KARL collection and to my positive surprise the collection had overall a sporty-edgy-glam feel to it. Jackets with zipper details, shorts, knee length skirts, tops, dresses, in fabrics from cotton, silk, sport mesh, polyester, sequins and leather (both real and faux). The accessories included gloves, bags, shoes and collars, sadly no sunnies for now, but hopefully they’ll come. Officially on my wish list: The pleated faux leather skirt, leather biker vest, droopy waisted sequined dress and all sandals!
If you love Alexander Wang, I think you’re gonna like this, and the good news is that it comes with more reasonable price tags, which start from £20, but most pieces range between £100-£300 (with a few exceptions from the leather bikers).
The launch on Wednesday, will take place on joint global events in Paris, New York, London, Berlin and Sydney. If you happen to be in London, then head over to Unit 3 at Covent Garden Market at 3.30pm, where goody bags will be handed to the first fifty visitors. Maybe I’ll see you there?
