Resort

I’ve had a few busy days this week and haven’t had the chance to catch many outfits on camera, sorry for that. Anyway here’s one from Tenerife where I experimented with a strip of bare skin. Not a very suitable look for mid December in the northern hemisphere but something I’m gonna sport again when it gets warmer out there.
For now, wrap up warm, wishing you all a wonderful Thursday eve!

New floral skirt from H&M, t-shirt Ann-Sofie Back, sandals by Alexander Wang, bag acne, watch Michael Kors and necklace Tiffany.

Coffee?

Hehe, I don’t know about you guys but I don’t function without my coffee, totally addicted, but I cant recall I ever needed (nor wanted) a luxurious cup sleeve on my-go-coffee, like these for £95 in leather by Jimmy Choo, totally unnecessary but I wouldn’t say no, perhaps a Christmas treat to someone who’s already got everything?

In Chloë Sevigny’s closet

Cool chick Chloë Sevigny let us have an insight into her closet and the story that goes along with some of her stuff. Wishing my wardrobe was this organized….

In Stylesight

Found myself featured in Stylesight in great company under the theme “Shades of Seafoam”, shades I strongly believe in this coming spring. I’m wearing my minty mohair cardigan from Acne’s fall collection but you’ll find plenty of items in these shades in Acne’s Pre-Spring that has already hit stores, the mint-green cotton sweater to the right is amongst them.

On my feet

Ooops, ok I know, but from now on there will be a shoe stop until spring shoes land in stores. I finally decided to get these Zanotti for Thakoon booties that I’ve been obsessing about and was happy to find them on sales. Initially I wanted them in black but my coin landed on grey, a refreshing color that goes well with next season’s softer palette.

The buzz of 2011

Getty Images

The most buzzed about shoes-to-fill of 2011 in the fashion industry has to be who’s gonna take the lead as creative director at Dior after Galliano’s sudden break-up. After 9 months of speculations latest rumor has it that Marc Jacobs, Tisci and others are out of the running and that Raf Simons is in discussions for the job.
If this turn out to be true I think it’s a little odd match, clean and minimalist Raf Simons at extravagant Dior? Personally I hope he stays in his seat at Jil Sander’s and continue to deliver his beautiful minimalist collections with a touch of couture.

In my bag

One thing I always carry with me in my bags is this bag hanger, I would never dream of placing any of my bags on a public floor and as many restaurants and cafee’s don’t provide you with a “bag seat” this one does the job for me. You’ll find various alternatives on high street for a penny but if you stuff your bags with half the amount that I do I recommend you to go for a more solid one, mine is from BCBG Max Azria.

metallics & prints

After looking through the Pre-Fall 2012 collections so far, nothing really made my heart jump and neither did I feel many must have’s from my side, expect from these metallics silvery pants and boots by Theyskens’ Theory (need to dig out my own Acne trousers!) and this printed jacket/bolero from Zero+Maria Cornejo‘s, looks absolutely fabulous!

Hola

I’m back from a wonderful couple of relaxing days at Tenerife, I’ve never taken a break like this from my dear blog since I started it back in August last year but this time I had a break from pretty much everything, I guess that’s needed from time to time.

I’ve spent lazy days at a quiet spot at the south of Tenerife and though I didn’t ses much of clear skies and sunshine and it was constantly blowing strong winds from east, my freckles are back on again, I feel rested and now back and running with more energy than before, thank you Tenerife!

Belt and jeans by Isabel Marant, angora jumper H&M, bag Acne, sandals Celine and watch Michael Kors.

Right now

When on holiday a toes+in+the+horizon (or sand)+shot is obligatory, despite how your feet look. Sorry for bad posting the last few days but I’ve spent the last 24 hours sleeping. Now, I’m finally rested and have time to look through all pre-collections so far, I’ll give you an update and send you a postcard from Tenerife later on. Happy Friday everyone!

Come with me

As my coming trip to sea and sunshine came a little as a surprise I haven’t anything prepared of clothing, I’ve got no problem of using last summer’s stuff but I wouldn’t mind any of these beautiful things to compliment what I already have like shorts, white denims, cropped tops and skirts.

1&2. Blazer and Hawaiian-printed blouse by Stella McCartney, 3. Cotton dress by Phillip Lim, 4. Sunglasses by Alexander Wang, 5. Leather and calf hair shoes by Newbark, 6. Beach tovel Proenza Schouler.

Budget tip

I’ve got a soft spot for hairy, soft, pale pink knitwear so new in is this long sleeved angora mix jumper from H&M, yours for £35.

Sun

A sneak peak of  Prada’s Spring 2012 campaign via Bryanboy and The Cut

Instead of complaining about my longing for sunshine and beach I’ve decided to do something about it, a long weekend on the Canary Islands will hopefully recharge my D-vitamin-batteries before a very busy end of December, January and February, leaving on Thursday morning, yeah!

I’m nominated

It’s not an everyday thing to get a nomination but I just heard I’m nominated to Vixen Blogawards in the category Best Fashion Blog Of The Year in Norway. To be up in the running in the country where I’m from means a whole lot to me, though I don’t live there it is my home and always will be. So if you want to give me your support you can cast your vote by clicking here, scroll down to the bottom of the page, tick my box and finish by clicking Stem. (You can vote until 14th of January!)

Rainday

On Sunday I woke up to rain and clouds and since I’d been out clubbing most of the night before I felt tempted to have an indoor day. Luckily I gave in and had the perfect cozy day with dinner at Hawksmoor followed by In Time at cinema. I really liked this movie, so nicely done and I loved the wordplays like “Don’t waste my time” and “10 minutes for an hour”, you’ll get what I mean if you watch it yourself.

Anyway, dressing on rainy chilly days is so uninspiring, forget about suede shoes and light colored jeans, therefore I made it very simple, a pair of boots that can handle a wet ground and my favorite raincoat that deserves to be worn a whole lot more. Stirrup trousers Cos, jumper and bracelet Acne, coat by Balenciaga, boots Zara and bag Celine.
