Cos online

You haven’t missed out that Cos finally opened their online store, including women, men and children wear, hurra for internet shopping! Sadly for some countries like Norway and US it looks like you still need to wait a bit longer.

Oki, heading towards the Christian Dior show now, happy Friday and see you later!

Paris

Hi guys, Paris has shown herself from the best side today and I’m thrilled to be here in the burning sun. Here are a few snapshots from today outside Balmain’s and Rick Owens, which includes Abbey Lee holding a cake, Anna Dello Russo and Carine Roitfeld on their respective iphones, a Givenchy-Celine girl, a beautiful statuesque Frida Gustavsson, a woman rocking her Balenciaga scarf, Rick Owens dressed Parisian’s, my new pointy silver flats from Zara that saved my swallowed ankle today and sunset at the Louvre.
Now, a very late good night and see you tomorrow!

Come with me

I’m packing for Paris and according to weather reports it’s gonna be really hot this weekend, I’ll leave my coat back home and pack for transitional days instead and I wouldn’t mind having these three goodies with me, each of them would fill a gap in my wardrobe. If only that golden clutch by Maison Martin Margiela could come in brown, like seen on MMM’s A/W runway. The lace-up ankle boots are by Giabattista Valli and net sleeve dress by Simone Rocha for Topshop.

Watch your step

I’ve been keeping my eyes on these candies by Celine like forever and now they’re finally mine. But they came with a price and by that I don’t only mean the price tag. I felt so euphoric when I finally got them in hand and my mind were everything else than watching my steps on the wet ground when I stepped down to the London Underground. I slipped, flyed and landed hardly, must have been quite a sight, but I was lucky, could have gone so much worse, don’t want to think about it, but thanks to fast reacting people it only resulted in a fractured ankle and broken heel. Can’t blame the new shoes though, they’re too beautiful for that!

This incident almost ruined my trip to Paris for Fashion Week but today I made a decision, I can deal with a bandage and flats at least for a couple of days, how I’m gonna get around is a different story, but tomorrow morning I’m off, can’t wait!

Indian summer

The indian summer has hit London, I guess better late than never, did someone mention global warming?

On Sunday I had a relaxing stroll around in South Kensington and slipped into a more summery outfit than usual in late September, I found this old tunic dress with fringes, still with the price tag on in my wardrobe, felt like brand new!
I wore angora coat and bracelet by Acne, tunic dress Topshop, sandals Kurt Geiger, bag Phillip Lim, watch Michael Kors and sunnies Ralph Lauren.

In action

For those of you who never had the chance to experience Fashion Week live in any of the major cities are probably unaware of the activities outside the shows. Yes sure, you know what streetstyle photographer’s are all about by now, but here’s a little insight of the great bunch from New York on how it works, lovely Craig Arend from nymag.com does the talking.

I Love Fake

I haven’t picked up much inspiration from editorials lately but I love the styling in this spread, Think About Me Knight and Day, for I Love Fake magazine, modeled by Maaike Klaasen, styled by Alex van deer Steen and photographed by Klaas Jan Kliphuis. Nothing too complicated, just strong, clean looks in a mix of different structures.

From Milan

Dolce & Gabbana, images style.com

That prints and patterns are some designers vision of spring 2012 is quite clear by now and according to some the more mismatch the better. Not very surprisingly the prints continued on Missoni’s, Pucci’s and Marni’s runway in Milan this weekend, but Dolce & Gabbana topped them all continuing where Stella McCartney and Prada left the fruit disk last season and introduced vegetables. How would you feel about a chili printed dress, or how about onions, tomatos and cucumber? I don’t doubt these prints will be a hit among some but for me a big no, see the whole collection here.

Jil Sander, images style.com

Call me boring or perhaps I’m lacking humor but my personal favorite this weekend from Milan is Jil Sander’s SS12 collection where Raf Simons have let paisley, gingham patterns and all-white-shirts-looks replace last seasons successful stripes and color blocking. Perhaps not the most exiting collection by Simons but it’s a clean, fresh and minimal way to include patterns and prints, were the long, narrow silhouettes and graphic printed jumpers continues where his A/W 11 collection ends, see the whole collection here.

Nostalgia

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and that you’ve been just as lucky as us with the weather. I think this might be the most sunny weekend we’ve had in London for ages and I tried my best to soak it up.
Yesterday I strolled around in my hood, late brunch at Le Pain Quotidien and in the late noon I watched the Rise of the Planet of the Apes at cinema, despite what critics may say I loved it, it’s incredible well done, so emotional, and at the end of it I found myself perhaps a little too enthusiastic for my surrounding audience.
Having that said I’ve been a total geeky fan of the original ape movie, Planet of The Apes from 1968, since I was a kid, and I recorded it from TV as a 10 year old. I could watch it again and again, totally hooked, until my baby brothers sadly recorded Thomas the Tank Engine all over my tape, ok, enough of nostalgia.

I wore pants and shoes from Cos, knit and bag by Acne, watch Tagheuer, ring YSL and Ray Ban’s.

Grace

I can’t remember ever getting so many compliments for my perfume as this one, Philosophy’s Grace Pure eau de parfum, and I like it even better than Amazing Grace which I’ve worn for years. When I was in NY I got refills from the whole grace pure range, totally addictive and as it says on the box: “nothing smells better than soap and water clean”, can’t argue that.

Ruby Jean Wilson

After the Burberry show last week I met one of the models of the moment, 17 year old Ruby Jean Wilson, fresh from the Burberry runway. While the crowds and masses of photographers were all gathered outside the tent I spotted her alone waiting for a driver with her name tag to pick her up. She seemed such a young, sweet, shy and delicate thing, and I wish her all the best with her modeling career, looks like it’s going pretty well at the moment as she’s becoming a regular this season on the major shows, Ruby is one to watch!

Just wish a had better background and frame for this image but this girl is sweet enough to make up for it, she’s wearing a vintage silk blouse and bag by Alexander Wang.

Checked

I stopped by H&M today to get black tights and came out with a leather dress, a hair accessorize and a checked scarf, everything but the tights I say, but the scarf’s gonna be perfect to wear with a tweed coat this fall and a great way to add something “checked” to your outfit if you don’t feel like wearing it on your legs or arms.

Wind

I’ve been trying to catch up with myself the last couple of days, been really tired and lacked energy but I guess a couple of more days with a good night’s sleep will sort that out, being sick is never allowed on my agenda.
Images taken on a very windy day, LFW Day 5, and running back and forwards on the Waterloo Bridge from the Somerset House and Waterloo Station in humid windy air made my hair look like I’d been hanging on the beach all day. Anyway, I wore leather skirt by Alexander Wang, knit Zara, shoes Topshop, bag Celine and ring YSL.

Now, gotta run out in the sun and recharge my light bulbs, have a lovely Saturday noon!

Prada SS12 Full Show

We all know Prada’s massive influence on trends so if you’ve got 11 min this noon and want to have a sneak peak of what Spring 2012 might be all about here’s Prada’s full runway show from Milan.
I love this collection a lot more than the last collections with pieces that are much easier to adopt to your own wardrobe either you have a Prada budget or simply use it for inspiration. I especially like the knee length skirts worn with lace printed wide cropped jackets, also, be prepared for some serious midriff and carprints. See the whole collection here.

In Grazia

In Grazia’s latest issue that I was handed outside the Burberry show the other day I found myself surrounded by the best fashion company, Taylor Tomasi Hill, Carine Roitfeld and others, I’m so honored! The image was taken when I was rushing between shows on a busy and very hot day in New York and I didn’t get the chance to get my outfit taken with my own camera.

Taylor Tomasi Hill in vintage Escada; the side split on Norwegian fashion blogger Hedvig Opshaug’s mididress add sex appeal; Natalie Suarez in a sheer vintage Calvin Klein skirt…”

Eeeh, ok, thanks, but my dress is by Alexander Wang, shoes Balenciaga, clutch Helmut Lang, watch Michael Kors and bracelet by Acne.
