Soaking up

Woop woop, hope you all had a lovely week so far, London has been drowning today but yesterday was such a wonderful day and I soaked up the late August rays the best I could. It’s important to seize the moment while you can right, my philosophy when it comes to most things.

I wore a skirt from Zara that has been waiting in my wardrobe for a while, t-shirt Jil Sander, sandals Balenciaga, watch Michael Kors, ring YSL, bag and sunnies Celine.

Reptile

Though I’m not too crazy about reptile patterns I couldn’t resist these leather boots from Zara, very Prada and Chloe’ish, and oh so comfy, can’t wait to wear them with a mini skirt and oversized knitwear. They also had a knee-length pair in suede and leather I found quite tempting but my final choice landed on these, feels more versatile.
Something I do have mixed feelings about is that it looks like Zara has completely ripped off parts of Chloe’s fall collection……. not to mention other resembles that make me think of Phillip Lim and Celine but that’s not really news, is it?

Magazine launch

Fashionable magazine news is that Style.com will launch it’s first print edition at the end of October and will include content from Style.com vets Tim Blanks and Nicole Phelps. The first edition will focus on the spring/summer 2012 collections, an give an insider’s look at the Fashion Week cycle that kicks off I NY in September and ends in Paris 5th of October. There are also rumors Style.com will be adding an e-commerce to it’s name.

Pick

I’ve got a real weakness for raw edged brown leather bags and I spotted this gorgeous chocolate beauty today at H&M, the leather has that perfect “stiffness” to it, yours for £69.

Vogue Russia

Loving every single piece in this energetic spread in Vogue Russia September issue, Natasha Poly rocks it, photographed by Hedi Slimane and styled by Sarah Richardson.

Fall mood

Due to bad weather this summer I haven’t had the chance to use all the summery outfits that I optimistically planned. Luckily I didn’t go totally crazy for summer buys this spring, as I tend to dig out fall stuff anyway in August, like these shorts I used a lot last winter from Cos, loving the voluminous shape and fabric.

Images taken today, I wore shorts Cos, shirt and bag Acne, shoes Balenciaga, watch Tagheuer and various bracelets.

Pimms

Hello from a sunny Covent Garden where I’ve soaked up this lovely summery Sunday at an outdoor serving, enjoying Moules-frites, pimms and great street music, perfect activities after a late night out. I’ll post some outfit images within short.

Budget

Last week I came across these turtle necks in viscose at H&M, perfect for layering and since they come with a price tag of only £15 each I got one in black, white and metallic beige.

Stripey shirt (on my wishlist), jeans and a statement bag on the shoulder, a clean, simple and fresh look, just what I lean towards myself on casual days when my wardrobe feels empty…….

Weekend

Though the warm summer weather has been hiding lately I’ve had a pretty good week with my mum visiting. As I for once had loads of spare time we enjoyed whatever London had to offer, shopping, great dinners and wines, observing people passing at the outdoors servings in Soho, DVD’s at home and my mum raiding my closet. I was also thrilled when I finally came across the ring from YSL I’ve been looking for, a little treat to myself that has constantly been sold out in my size.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Images taken today after a late lunch with my friend Johanna, I wore top Cos, skirt Whyred, shoes Zara, bag Acne and ring YSL.

Points forts

Images Vogue Paris

One of my favorite spreads recently is Points Forts in Vogue Paris August 2011 issue, styled by Geraldine Saglio and photographed by Karim Sadli. I’m in love with the casual unpretentious layered styling and I wouldn’t mind any of these cozy knitwear’s in my wardrobe right now, it’s chilly out there…..

Door

It feels like fall has arrived in London, leaves on the ground and a raw chill in the air, I want more of summery hot days, especially now when I have some more time in handy.
Earlier this week I did my last post for Flingly for now, where I’ve worked as fashion editor since December last year, maybe I’ll pop up there in the future again, but for now, I hope to be part of new exciting projects and want to keep all doors open.

Images taken yesterday with my mum, I wore shorts H&M, top and belt Acne, jacket Isabel Marant, shoes Cos, watch Tagheuer, bag Celine and Ray Ban’s.

I’m blue

Yes, my choice landed on this clutch from YSL that I’ve kept my eyes on but ideally wanted in burgundy, as I didn’t find it in the larger size model, I decided to go for blue instead. But blue will do it for me and I love in the mix of the colors I like, blue-white, blue-brown, blue-green, blue-purple, blue-black…..

Collar clip

A small budget tip, I bought these collar clips at Asos (very Balenciaga’ish) for only £10, a perfect way to spice up my white shirts. This one is in silver metal but not very clear in the image but they come in many shapes and metals so I’m thinking of getting more of them. Ok, gotta run, my mum is waiting!

Isabel Marant

Freja Beha looking as cool as always in Isabel Marant’s 2011 fall campaign sporting patchworked denims and shearling.
Great news for us Londoner’s is that Isabel Marant is soon to open a boutique on Bruton Street in Mayfair, yeahh!
