Soft skirt

Haven’t taken any outfit shots here in Evian but here’s one from earlier this week in London strolling around with my brother. I wore a denim skirt from Mother which has to be the softest denim I’ve ever felt, bought it in Miami a couple of months ago, so comfy.

Skirt Mother, knit Mango, boots Margiela, bag Acne, watch Michael Kors, belt Isabel Marant and sunnies Ralp Lauren.

Chilling in Evian

Right now I’m chilling in Evian by Lake Geneva, I wasn’t totally sure where I was going on this trip but it’s such a beautiful, relaxing and quiet place. Except for tanning, eating, drinking and finishing off some work, I also went on a wonderful boat trip on the lake, which made me long for my home city in Norway, the place my heart has been this past week…..

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Freja tribute

Images via fashiongonerogue

Vogue China pays tribute to the Danish model Freja in their August issue featuring model Tao Okamoto, photographed by Lachlan Bailey. Beautiful girl imitates another beautiful girl minus the tattoos, funny concept, but I think she works it.
Anyway, have a lovely Thursday noon, I’m running a bit late as usual, gotta catch a flight, decided in the last minute (as usual) to spend my weekend in Switzerland, see you there!

Le Black bag

If I didn’t already have many black bags in my wardrobe this one from Margiela’s fall collection would have been a popular candidate, perhaps the most perfect black-everyday-bag I’ve seen in a long time, simple, stylish and no fuzz.

Green river

Here the other day I had a stroll around in Little Venice with family who visited, we ended up taking the channel boat along Regents Canal up to Camden Town where we spent the late afternoon. If you’re a tourist in London I recommend this little boat trip which is one of the many “secrets” of this lovely city.

I wore a wool cardi from Cos, always loved it’s boxy wide shape, skirt Acne, new boots Topshop, bag Celine and sunnies Ralph Lauren.

Speaking of Celine, Topshop have been really strong on their shoe-side lately and I simply love these suede loafer courts, very Celine-likey, new in store and yours for £65.

Burgundy love

Celine’s most-wanted pre-fall collection has landed in stores and this weekend I studied up close the gorgeous burgundy cashmere knit, oh, I wouldn’t mind that one in my wardrobe, so incredible soft, unfortunately at knit with a £1200 tag is not on my priority list at the moment so I’m gonna look around for a more reasonable alternative. Something else on my wishlist followed me home though, I’ll show you one day.

Getting started

These last few days writing and blogging about clothes and fashion haven’t been my first priority, though, luckily my family and friends are safe and unharmed, we’ve all been shocked and hit by the tragedy in Oslo.

At some point we’ve all have to get started again, I find it hard from my side and I haven’t even been directly hit nor seen the scene live so I can’t imagine how tough it must be for those who are and have, we all think of you!

Images taken this weekend, I wore leather dress Zara, angora jumper and bag Acne, shoes Prada, sunnies Celine, bracelet Bjørg and watch Tagheuer.

In order to pay my respect and compassion to the victims of the tragedy in Oslo I’ve chosen not to publish anything this weekend.

I’ll be back like normal tomorrow.

July 23, 2011

Today has been a very tragic and sad day, for us Norwegians and I assume the world outside, tragedies like this affect us all across boarders, we all know too well by now the cruelness and madness existing in this world. My thoughts goes for those affected and their families……

Good Friday noon to you all!
When I woke up yesterday it didn’t feel very tempting to jump into a summery dress or anything like it, seing the big black cloud above my roof top I felt inspired to go dress more like fall, mustard and brown, how could anyone blame me?
Today however is a different story,  the sun is out, no clouds in sight and I wish the same for you wherever you are.

I wore pants Diane von Furstenberg, t-shirt Jil Sander, jacket Acne, shoes Cos, watch Michael Kors, bag Celine and sunnies Ralph Lauren.

Vogue Italy July 2011

Images via fashiongonerogue

Absolutely love this spread in Vogue Italy July issue and perhaps mostly from a photography point of view, surreal, quirky and futuristic in the streets of NY. Photographed by Stephane Sednaoui and styled by Victoria Bartlett, and I cannot remember Karlie Kloss looking this cool ever before.

Yes please

Right now I’m dreaming of warm, cozy, turtlenecks, wish I could fill up my wardrobe with one of each color but that could possible ruin me so I’ll keep my eyes open for the right one.
Anyway, I posted this look on Flingly today and wouldn’t mind any of the items, this bag is from Marni but has a little of Balenciaga to it, umbrella Asos, wool skirt Acne, sunnies Thierry Lasry, knit Jil Sander and boots Topshop.

Now, I’ve got some serious cleaning to do, family visiting tomorrow, ergo dust inspection…..

Back on

Yesterday I jumped into these boots from last winter, and even though I love them it just feels so totally wrong in the middle of the summer, shouldn’t we be letting our toes breath this time of year. Judging the weather I probably should have worn opaque tights as well but that’s a line I definitely refuse to cross in mid July.

Girls on Bikes

Back in February Phillip Lim said that his fall 2011 collection was a celebration to city-girls-on-the-go and girls on bikes was his reference. Though I liked this collection very much I couldn’t really visualize his floating fabrics, heels and baggy pants on a bike, I mean in real life. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why he has released a video of his fall collection, to convince us, here’s “Girls On Bikes”. Works for me…..
