DKNY Resort 2012

Images style.com

I’m not totally wild about DKNY’s Resort 2012 Collection but here are some of my favorite looks, love the geometric silhouette of the cape dress and the silk printed fabric works, though I’m not usually a sequin-kind-of-girl I like the the play with silk and fur, New Years party anyone?

Pick

My favorite just in’s at outnet right now, all 65-70% off.
Alexander Wang Leather Mini Skirt, Bottega Veneta Sterling Ring, Maison Martin Margiela Leather Pump.

Umbrella

As I again was caught by a sudden rainfall from a blue sky yesterday I had to pop into the nearest store to get an umbrella and found this stripey one at Zara in blue and green, yours for £10.

Kliché

I know, not original at all, but on days when I’ve got practically no idea what to wear, or I don’t bother thinking about it, I always end up putting on the same, brit stripes, jeans and leather jacket, and that’s just what I wore yesterday.

Cropped jeans and sandals Acne, boyfriend’s jumper Cos, jacket Vibe Johanson, bag Celine and sunnies Ralph Lauren.

H&M Fall 2011

Though I’m not totally sold on H&M’s Fall lookbook modelled by Karlie Kloss there are some goodies in this high street collection, among my favorites a gorgeous long camel coat. All will be in store in September and October for a very reasonable price.

See the lookbook in movement below featuring Karlie Kloss and Josefine Ekman.

Silk

Came across this silk trench for a great sales price online, that I’ve been glancing on for months from Acne, and right now it’s somewhere on it’s way to my doorstep.
This is really the time to keep your eyes open for sales bargains as many online stores and boutiques already have started 50% off on spring/summer collections.

My Sunday

The energy level wasn’t on top today so I’ve pretty much done nothing, except from hanging out in my hood, sipping coffee in the sun, observing life passing by and ended the evening with a lovely dinner with a group of friends at my beloved Yauatcha. Loving days like this!

Love

Last night I danced in these new candies from Marni, totally in love with them, the fit was perfect, so lesson learned is that Marni shoes sizes very small as I went up almost 2 sizes. I wore a jumpsuit from Cos but didn’t get any images of it, another time then. Have a lovely Sunday noon!

Offside

Woop woop, today I strolled around in Covent Garden with my man, brunching at our regular, Cafe Boheme, and bought a bunch of DVD’s. Despite that I like football, especially finals like today, I decided on my way home that I wouldn’t join the others in a pub, it’s totally crazy out there and though I’m on my 5th floor, watching the game perfectly fine on my own TV, it feels like I’m on a pub anyway, screams and cheering coming through every corner and window of my flat anyway.

Now getting ready for a party night out, have a good one you too whoever wins!

Leather skirt Zara, top Whistles, boots Mango, denim jacket Acne, bracelet Isabel Marant and bag Phillip Lim.

Taj Sunset

The fragrance I’m carrying around in my handbag at the moment is Escada’s limited summer edition Taj Sunset with a scent of tropical Mango. Escada’s summer scents are the only “sweet” bottles that have ever found their way into my bathroom but they are like this one, perfect for summer days, light and fruity.

Hot hot hot

It can hardly have missed anyone by now that Vogue Paris‘s June/July cover and spread with Isabeli Fontana photographed by Mert & Marcus is a remake of Vogue Italia‘s spread in February 1989 with Linda Evangelista photographed by Steven Meisel in Cuba.

I love this new oversaturated, hot and sweaty editorial though the original absolutely has a life of it’s own, and just for the fun of it I picked out some images of both spreads, the remake on the left and original shot on the right hand side.

See all the images from Vogue Paris here and Vogue Italia’s here.

Breaking patterns

Today I met up with my sweetie Johanna for a dumpling brunch in China town, we decided it was time for a change from our regular Le Pain Quotidien.

I’m not wearing so many bright colors this spring as I though I would, always fall back on what I feel most comfortable in anyway but lately I’ve been wearing a splash of colors on my hands and wrist instead.

Shorts Topshop, knit H&M, blazer and sandals Acne, bag Celine, watch Tagheuer, bracelets Intermix and Chanel Mimosa nails.

Heritage

HERITAGE. A journey through time. from Juan Rod on Vimeo.

I love fashion short films and the work I’ve seen from Santiago Esteban so far is right up my street, I think again the magic comes as well by his use of music that creates that very special atmosphere and I wish there was a follow up to each of his videos.
Though LV is not really my thing the collection does come to life in Esteban’s hands where he features Louis Vuitton’s Heritage collection, “A journey through time” for Elle Spain, modelled by Diana Dondoe.
And if you haven’t seen his cowgirls in”Wanted” already, you’ll find it here.

Have a lovely Friday noon!

Budget

Today’s little wish is this budget top, loving the clean lines and would wear it with wide loose pants and flat sandals for a relaxed look or with a leather mini skirt and boots. Yours for £28 and you’ll find it here.

Rainday

It was sunny when I stepped out this afternoon in my suede boots but the moment I stepped off the tube at Gloucester Road I regretted, caught by massive rain and lightning, wonderful, you see the results, hoping it’s possible to fix…..
