Summer, yes, what was that again, someone please remind me, I seem to have forgotten the meaning and content of it by now, and realised that the only way of getting one is to escape England at some point very soon.
A lesson learned for me this year is not going bananas for summery stuff (fully prized) early in the season, unless it’s one of those really rare pieces that sell out immediately. I mean by the chance you get to wear them they are already in the summer sales so whats the point (think I just made a pair of retailer enemies right now!).

Anyway, summer or not, I’ve dug out my “old”  booties by Dolce & Gabbana (here and here) and paired them with a skirt by Zara, jumper by Vanessa Bruno, bag by Celine and sunnies by Tom Ford

Around London and fancy spending those money on Prada and Chanel with a good conscience? Then drop by this second hand pop-up shop at Old Brompton Road tomorrow Monday and Tuesday only, and support the Walkabout Foundation.

You haven’t missed out that some summer sales have officially kicked off in Europe? As usual during sales I only look for classic pieces or stuff I know for sure I will use all throughout next season. And if I hadn’t already got a new bag (a checked bargain by Dries Van Noten, hurra!) I might have been up for one of these suede mini beauties by Saint Laurent, 30% off and yours for £661.

If you are waiting for images from Phoebe Philo’s Resort 2014 collection to drop at style.com or other sites then please don’t hold your breath. According to WWD the Céline house has decided to “do-a-Tom Ford” and keep images of the new collection under wrap for now. And we may all wonder why, or perhaps not (read Zara?).

Meanwhile, we’ve always the fall collection to dream about, the pale knee length skirts, voluminous tops and checked coats for instance, meow…

It’s not often I move over to the lighter colour palette but it does happen in between denim days. I’ve had this bomber jacket for a while now but haven’t really had the chance to use it much, a mesh jacket in a 10 degree London doesn’t sound like a hit right. Anyway, I’ve finally dug it out and it could potentially be the perfect throw-on this summer, if the the higher forces allows it.

Ok, so it is, Isabel Marant for H&M is confirmed the latest collaboration out there. Not really sure if I’m feeling much to be honest, it feels like we’ve seen Marant’ish stuff on the highstreet already, but  you can be sure of a digital explosion worldwide of product images until the collection will launch 14th of November.

Searching for a super comfortable, glam, yet understated sandal with functionality, then look no further, and look up delRioLondon. These are unisex slippers with a Spanish heritage and come in all sorts of leather, fabrics and colours (pony hair, leopard anyone?). Mine are SS14 and special editions in vintage Chanel fabric and I absolutely love them!

Summer has (finally!) arrived and it’s time to get those pale legs out there shall we. I intend to do so with the help of dresses and floppy skirts after traumatising many months locked up in jeans.

I prefer investing in separates that can be worn and put together in a million ways, and a new skirt of mine is this soft denim piece by Hofmann Copenhagen, perfect to throw on, dressed up or down, comes with elastic waist and pockets (I just love my pockets!). Though the shape is quite “girly” I’m up for the challenge and will wear it with nothing too too pretty if you know what I mean.

So far I’ve loved “Alexander Wang’s Balenciaga”, and he certainly embraces the heritage of Christobal, continuing the voluminous shapes and lines we all love, perhaps with a softer touch in the Resort 2014 collection, still very Balenciaga.

Speaking of beach, and after searching high and low for “off shoulders”, I’ve come across the most perfect beach dress by Melissa Odabash that I wore as a top yesterday with denims and a new “protective” necklace by Johnny Ramli.

Ok, so I’m in desperate need of a holiday on a sandy beach (and a new bikini!) very soon, and I’m happy to switch seat with Toni Garrn this second. Something else that might not be just that urgent is that I’ve finally decided (I’m such a coward!) to get a few extra ear piercings like these, yeah!

Do you know those days when you’ve got no clue what to wear and you grab for whatever closest to you?Well, I know very well what that’s about these days, and the result may end up being slightly schizophrenic……

London weather is crap right now and lightyears from summery, well, the miserable weather can be used as a good excuse for long catch-ups with friends, here at The Waterway yesterday, and as extra “comfort” I’ve got a new bag beauty by my side by Tod’s.
