10 Best Dressed!!!

I’ve received several mails from you lovely readers who wanted to tip me about this list, thank you so much for your excitement and thoughtfulness! Though I’m not very into lists and such I would be insane(!) if I didn’t think it was cool to be on Vogue’s Best Dressed List. Other on the list are Joan Smalls, Lauren Santo Domingo, Anya Ziourova, Lady Gaga, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Rula Jebreal, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna and Miranda Kerr, such an honour, so thank you so much Vogue!!!

Loving these sharp clean looks in an editorial in Vogue Astralia July issue, which captures some of the key trends for fall 2012, black or monochrome, sharp lines, embroidery and knee high boots. The edgy ear pieces completes it all not to mention those Givenchy’s from pre-fall, they are killers!!!

Front & Back

This year Vogue has stripped down their summer covers for June and July fronted by our times “supers”. Nathalie Vodianova fronts Vogue Russia June issue, and the most talked about Gisele Bundchen’s more provocative butt-in-sand-cover for Vogue Paris June/July lensed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. I love them both in different ways and isn’t a great thing that when they strip down covers like this they choose 2 healthy looking models, both mums and have long successful careers behind them?

Did you enjoy ‘The September Issue’ documentary as much as I did, then there’s a chance you’ll also enjoy Mademoiselle C, a french take where Carine Roitfeld have been followed by cameras in the making of her new magazine, C.R Fashion Book, that will be launched in September. It’s said to give an insight into Roitfeld’s both professional and private life and though her former role as Editor-in-Chief at Vogue Paris won’t be in focus I can’t help hoping for juicy revelations.

The styling itself by Michelle Duguid is quite simple but I love the glam and nonchalant interpretation of sportswear, hoodies and sneakers, this is also a perfect demonstration of the magic and use of light, the light, the light, the light……

Updates

Luckily the Easter time is dry season for news but here are some interesting updates that caught my eye after days of being offline.
- One of my favorite reads Vogue.fr will finally launch an english version of their website, yeah for all us non-french-speaking people.
- After months of speculations Raf Simons is finally confirmed at Dior.
- Ok, perhaps not considered as news but at least interesting Marant fans, as Isabel Marant has created a replica of her father’s watch, for sales in Paris and NY stores this month.
