I know I’ve said it before but it’s worth repeating, cause I’m sure there are many late birds like myself out there. It took me like forever to get on instagram, such a brilliant way to catch up when there’s little time or you’re out of words. If you wanna follow me you’ll find me on @hedvigso.
On the 17th of May I celebrated the Norwegian Constitution day with 2 other fab Scandi girls, like once every year we carried around small Norwegian flags and had so much fun, dinner a The Botanist followed by a bar to bar round in Chelsea.
Like many other Norwegian’s I have a national suit called bunad, which to many fellow countrymen is the way to dress on the 17th of May, well, I’ve to admit mine haven’t been worn for more than 10 years and it’s safely stored in my mums closet in Oslo, hehe, sorry mum!
Anyway I jumped into this outfit, at least I wore something white and blue, I wore an old brocade skirt from Zara, shirt by Acne, leather bomber Topshop, shoes Alexander Wang, clutch Helmut Lang and Ray Ban’s.
One week to go before Christmas and when I woke up this morning the number of prepared gifts in my house was equal to none, same procedure as every year I’d say. So this whole day I devoted to Christmas shopping and though I had to practically fight my way through crowds of people in the streets of London, I got a little into that Christmas spirit which to me is pretty equal to stress, in a good way though. Anyway, stress or not, at the end I cooled down with a glass of champagne, caviar and oyster’s at Harrods, perfect after a shopping spree. Happy Saturday eve everyone!
My weekend kicked off Friday eve with a cozy dinner at Aqua Nueva, it doesn’t score my highest point as the best Spanish restaurant in town food wise, but it has a great atmosphere, highly recommended if you’re in party mood. Today has been a chilling day, nothing on the agenda, except a looong brunch and cinema, Dream House, which was worth seeing.
Now, good wines at home and nothing more, wonderful! Wishing you all a lovely end of the weekend too!
Today I wrapped up warm in stirrup trousers from Cos, denim shirt, bag and shoes by Celine, coat Oasis, new wool scarf by Acne and watch Tagheuer.
Today I got totally surprised by heavy rainfall and like most people around I hadn’t thought of bringing an umbrella along, luckily I was in Chinatown so I found shelter in one of the many restaurant and enjoyed a dim sum lunch and green tea while I waited for the waterfall to stop, quite cozy actually, despite I was on my own.
Hyde Park is magical this time of year, though I love it during summertime, I think fall in the park is so beautiful, especially when the weather is as great as it was this weekend. Late wine brunch at The Serpentine watching the sunset could fool anyone believing they are somewhere in the countryside and not in the heart of a metropole, except perhaps for the building constructions in the horizon.
This is exactly how I ended up spending my Saturday late noon and I wore a turtle neck from H&M, pants and sunnies by Phillip Lim, blazer Zara, shoes and bag Celine, watch Tagheuer and bracelet Margiela.
It’s Monday noon and I’m still a bit tired after this weekend which ended quite late throughout, dinners with friends and a little clubbing. But there’s not much time for being lazy now as I’ve got some serious packing to do for my NY trip and a whole list of boxes that need to be ticked.
Anyway, here’s me on Saturday when I chilled at a typical London pub and headed for an early dinner at Massimo at late noon, the latest a highly recommended restaurant at Trafalgar Square, their oysters are just jammy!
I wore jumper by Acne, leather skirt Alexander Wang, watch Tagheuer, sandals and bag Celine,
Yesterday eve I went out for a lovely dinner at Semplice, a cute Italian in Mayfair with excellent dishes (including black truffle!) and reasonable price level. Then followed by clubbing and just for the occasion I dug out this skirt from Lanvin for H&M, totally forgotten about it.
This eve, relaxing home, wonderful, happy weekend to you too!
I wore top and shoes Isabel Marant, skirt Lanvin for H&M, jacket Vibe Johansson, watch Tagheuer, bracelet Bjørg and clutch Helmut Lang.
This weekend I also spent time in a beautiful village called Thonon on the french side along Lake Geneva, a perfect spot to calm down, relax and enjoy wonderful food, and the Salad de Chevre was probably the best I’ve ever tried. I’ll post some outfit images later on, have a lovely sunny monday noon!
Wow, I had fun yesterday eve, a lovely dinner at Wild Honey followed by clubbing at Maddox. It was my first time at this restaurant but not to the menu, as it’s run by the same team as one of my favorites places for a good steak in London, Arbutus.
I wore, skirt Acne, top Zara, shoes Isabel Marant, bracelet Hermes and clutch American Apparel.
Haven’t written about food here for a while and since I’m almost starting to turn into a Robinson Crusoe on my dream island we’ve also hunted down our own food. On a snorkeling trip the other day we caught conchs (collected is perhaps a better word) and prepared a fresh salad of them at the beach, served with local beer, delicious!
On Sunday we joined a fabulous group of friends at late noon for an early dinner at a place called Roast at Borough Market serving excellent tasty british food, a very positive surprise I must say, both foodwise, price level and atmosphere. I’ll definitely go back for their roasted chicken, the best I tried in ages.
Oki, now I’ve got some work to finish and then I’ll join a wine tasting, have a lovely Monday eve!
I wore leather skirt and shoes Zara, t-shirt Jil Sander, blazer H&M Conscious, bracelet Proenza, bag Phillip Lim and sunnies Celine
I mentioned this roof garden at Trafalgar Hotel yesterday but as this day turned out to be just as warm and sunny and since I don’t have my own balcony or garden in my own house, this is the only sunny roof terrace that I know of in my area. Today we enjoyed excellent food there, seafood platter of oyster, lobster and langoustine, chicken and beef, fresh fruit and a good bottle of Chabli while enjoying the rays, what a wonderful day and I hope the sun is shining on you as well!
It’s been a while since I shared a great address with you guys, now we’re speaking gastronomy. Yesterday I had a fantastic dinner at one of my absolute favorite restaurants in London, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, a 2 star Michelin. I don’t need to describe it in words, judge by the images. What you don’t see much of is the atmosphere inside, it’s dark but I won’t say more, perhaps of curiosity you will try it for yourself. This is French gastronomy at a high level, highly recommended.
