Front & Back

This year Vogue has stripped down their summer covers for June and July fronted by our times “supers”. Nathalie Vodianova fronts Vogue Russia June issue, and the most talked about Gisele Bundchen’s more provocative butt-in-sand-cover for Vogue Paris June/July lensed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. I love them both in different ways and isn’t a great thing that when they strip down covers like this they choose 2 healthy looking models, both mums and have long successful careers behind them?

Mini + Oversized

I know, I’ve totally fallen for the sporty vibes, in fact I haven’t been this “sporty’ish” since I quit my alpine career years ago, but who can blame me, these sneakers are just to comfortable once they are on. Anyway, I jumped into this laid back outfit on a sunny Sunday, brunching with a friend in South Ken, and until the true summer is here and I can wear my mini’s and shorts with big loose jumpers (a favorite combo!), I’ll pair them with oversized jackets.

Have a lovely day everyone!

Knitted jumper Mango, coat Topshop Boutique, denim skirt  and sunglasses by Acne, wedged sneakers from Ash, bracelet Cooee and bag by Celine.

Rainy shoes

Eehh, did I say spring the other day? Ok, I won’t lay down and demonstrate by a little rain, but when risking being impaled by my own umbrella cause of crazy wind throws from up and below, while carrying 3 heavy bags of groceries, I do , imagine the sight! On days like this my old boots by Marant are champions, and though they are made of leather (just added rubber soles) they haven’t taken any damage, thumbs up!

Resort season

Chanel Resort 2013, images style.comBottega Veneta Resort 2013, images style.com

Here we go again, resort collections 2013 have slowly got started, so prepare for a month of new collections and images to be drawling over.
Chanel presented their collection yesterday in the beautiful garden of The Palais de Versailles, and though the collection itself which is more of a crossing between renaissance couture, hiphop and street, and not really my thing, the spectacular show must have been amazing to attend.

Bottega Veneta published images of their collection last week that included sleek tailored monochrome silhouettes. And that tracksuit, I mean, who would turn down a Bottega tracksuit?

Unexpected events

Wow, I had loads of fun this weekend, hanging out with girlfriends I don’t have the chance to see so much in these busy times. It all kicked off on Friday noon with a little shopping, followed by dinner and drinks at various places, and then, well it ended late. Days like that happen to be when I’ve the most fun, when nothing’s planned and everyone is positive and never want the evening to end, thanks girls!

I left home in this outfit that morning with no party plans on my mind, jeans can definitely be a party saver, I wore J Brand jeans, new lace shirt by Acne, parka Isabel Marant, shoes Camilla Skovgaard, bracelet Kenneth Jay Lane, watch Tagheuer, Ray Ban’s and bag Celine.

Mademoiselle C

Did you enjoy ‘The September Issue’ documentary as much as I did, then there’s a chance you’ll also enjoy Mademoiselle C, a french take where Carine Roitfeld have been followed by cameras in the making of her new magazine, C.R Fashion Book, that will be launched in September. It’s said to give an insight into Roitfeld’s both professional and private life and though her former role as Editor-in-Chief at Vogue Paris won’t be in focus I can’t help hoping for juicy revelations.

It’s clear

Sorry guys, I’ve had a small technical problem with my site but now we’re back!

New in are these sunnies by Acne, a fun version of a Wayfarer which happens to be my favorite model. It comes in 6 different colors and I was hesitating between pink and clear, great additions to an all dark sunny collection.

Rainday

Woop woop, hope you’re enjoying this weekend so far, the sun is shining in London and I’ve been able to wear bare legs the whole week, a sign that spring is finally here. Thursday however was grey and, rainy and dull, and I dressed accordingly. Ultimately I would have topped this look with this oversized leather jacket by Balmain, hehe, but I figured out my topshop denim would do until I win a lottery.

Wishing you all a fab Saturday eve!

Top Balmain, old dress from Whistles, new jacket Topshop, booties Acne, bag by Celine and watch Tagheuer.

H&M Fall 2012

In courtesy of H&M

H&M offers a whole lot of goodies in their coming fall collection, I’d say quite inspired by Balenciaga and Balmain among others, without any complete rip offs. And for your guys out there the men’s lookbook looks quite promising too.

Pixie

Wake me up

Yep, I hummed around on that melody yesterday, whether it was due to the outfit I’d slipped into or that I really needed a wake up is not clear but I surely enjoyed some of the warm sunny day and met up with a few girlfriends.
After being on the fence on the Marant’ish sneakers for a while since I thought they were a little too bulky for me, I’m thrilled to have come across these sneakers by Ash, there’s a little hidden wedge in there and needless to say super comfortable. I love that they are a little more neat if you know what I mean and easy to wear with anything.

I wore skirt by Proenza Schouler, jumper Nowhere, Ash wedged sneakers, bag Celine, bracelets Cooee and Ray Ban’s.

Nowhere favorites

Nelly.com

If you didn’t know already Elin Kling’s collaborative clothing line with designer Nhu Duong, has come out with a new Nowhere collection, mostly consisting of basics like knitwear and trousers for a reasonable penny. These are my favorites, strongly considering getting the minty blue angora jumper and zipper pants that comes in black and white.

In the mood of…

Loafers spotted at Jimmy Choo last week, I’ve been craving a pair of loafers for months but I can’t decide, hmmm, classic Tod’s, Newbark’s, Jimmy Choo’s and then you have the more bulky ones from Acne, all goes so well with cropped trousers, and perfect when traveling or on the go.

The light

Flare April 2012 Lekeliene Stange by Emma Tempest

Time for some editorial inspiration and this one by Flare lensed by Emma Tempest has been in the back of my head for a while, that’s usually how it is, a few that get stuck and keep hunting me so I end up posting them here. The styling itself by Michelle Duguid is quite simple but I love the glam and nonchalant interpretation of sportswear, hoodies and sneakers, this is also a perfect demonstration of the magic and use of light, the light, the light, the light……

Sunday

On Sunday I headed for a wedding dinner and as I had no new dress suitable and the weather was quite miserable and chilly I made it very easy for myself and grabbed for winter favorites in my wardrobe that I brightened up with lighter accessories. Finally I got to wear this wool dress by Acne with bare legs, so much more fun, and the kashmere coat from Topshop Boutique needs no further introduction as I’ve worn it all through the winter.

Dress by Acne, coat Topshop Boutique, earrings Prada, shoes Alexander Wang and bag Celine.
